A hundred dollars lesson

I managed a panic attack, got frustrated in a parking lot, and distracted by that other car, almost hit an adult skateboarder. He was unhurt, had no helmet, was on the sidewalk and apparently not paying attention to driveways. I apologized, but held him accountable for not using his own eyes. His skateboard was broken. I was the vehicle driver. He asked for compensation, so I paid him a hundred bucks. The raw recovery specialist and I fell for an obvious scam, from the car that blocked me in to ensure frustration, and why the apology Confused the scammer, who created an opportunity.
