Fences and gates

There is an old saying or poem, about don’t make love by the garden gate, for love is blind but the neighbours ain’t. It was before my time, when the use of ain’t would result in being told that ain’t is not a word was a thing. Anyway, fences might not make good neighbours, but gates and pedestrian traffic does, more than motorways, eh. Noise and exhaust fumes.
